This morning, Tribal Chairman Robert de los Angeles spoke at a news conference hosted by U.S. Representative Kim Schrier in North Bend, WA.  The focus of the news conference was the importance of infrastructure projects needed to upgrade Highway 18 to improve safety and access to this critical highway.

Chairman de los Angeles said, in part, “We know that outcomes are collectively greater and more impactful when we work together. The Snoqualmie Tribe is proud to join with cities throughout the region, with State leaders including Representative Ramos & Callan, and State Senator Mullet, with Federal leaders including Representative Schrier, and with the heroes at Eastside Fire & Rescue who help victims in accidents that have resulted from the current conditions on highway 18.

We know projects like these take time, but time isn’t something we have the luxury of wasting when the safety of our community is what is at stake. Our collective diligence on moving this project forward is critical.”
