Tribe’s Charitable Donation Recipient Organizations of 2020
SNOQUALMIE, WA – On Friday, June 26th, the Snoqualmie Indian Tribe will send out checks nearing $1 million total to organizations that have been hit the hardest during the Pandemic. More than 200 different organizations applied for the funding.
Snoqualmie Chairman Robert de los Angeles stated, “the Snoqualmie Tribe prides itself on giving back to the community, because it is a cultural value of ours. The Snoqualmie People have always been here and will always be here. We are committed to investing in this community and lifting each other up during these times.”
This year’s recipient organizations applied in the Winter of 2020 for projects and initiatives focused on specific categories including Veterans, Arts & Culture, Native Services, Family Services, Salmon Habitat Restoration & Protection, Environmental Education, and the Snoqualmie Valley.
Tribal Treasurer Christopher Castleberry said “It is vital to the Snoqualmie Tribe that these organizations are supported and able to continue to serve those in need. Providing resources to these organizations should be a priority to us all.”
Some of the organizations receiving donations this year included Wild Fish Conservancy, Compass Housing Alliance, Operation Military Family Cares, Alpha Supported Living Services, Compass Health, Food Lifeline, Friends of Youth, Making a Difference Foundation, Northshore Senior Center, Tavon Learning Center, Environmental Science Center, Pacific Science Center Foundation, and the Duwamish Tribe.
For all 501c3 organizations both awarded, and not awarded this year, the 2021 application cycle will open on January 1st 2021 and close March 31st, 2021. To learn more, visit www.snoqualmietribedonations.us.
