We are honored to announce a one-time General Welfare COVID-19 Assistance Payment for our Tribal Members and Children. This benefit is being provided using the funds made available by Congress under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) consistent with the Department of Treasury’s guidance for Tribal use of the CARES Act funds.
The Snoqualmie Tribal Council knows that Snoqualmie Tribal families are bearing additional unexpected costs and expenses caused by the pandemic. This one-time tax-free COVID-19 Emergency Disaster Relief General Welfare payment will help relieve the additional financial burdens such as, food, transportation, clothing, child care, housing (for a principal residence), utilities, education, medical and health care costs. They are scheduled to be released in the same way the monthly consolidated assistance checks are sent.
