Weather Alert - Friday, December 20, 2019

Update: SR 202 near 292nd Ave SE Fall City is now closed.

Snoqualmie Tribe Public Safety has sent out the following update regarding the current and upcoming weather conditions:

Overnight rain is creating hazardous driving conditions.

Hwy 203 is closed in both directions @ Fay Rd. (Mile Post 10) with a collision blocking.

Flooding is being reported in some neighborhoods.

Do not drive through flooded areas. As little as 12 inches can carry a vehicle away.

King County Flood Warning Center issued a Phase 3 flood alert for Tolt River, with warning of Moderate flooding near Carnation.

A Phase 2 flood alert was issued for Snoqualmie River, where minor flooding is possible along low-lying areas of the valley.

This will create detours on the roads. Please check the WSDOT website prior to going on the road and give extra time to drive to your destination.

Heavy rainfall is expected through Saturday morning (1-2 inches) putting extra pressure on the soil instability, leading to possible landslides.

Those traveling in and near hilly terrain are urged to use extra caution as some landslides have already been reported.

Please be safe on the roads.
